Default Worth keeping any NF purples?

Hey, as the title suggests : is it worth keeping any particular skins to sell in NF that are purple (other than the elemental sword, obviously). I mean : i have a req 11 purple crude axe which i have been told is a rare skin, but will it be worth anything?

i have seen purple "perfects" sell for around 30% of the value a gold perfect would sell for if the skin is desired.

Treat it like the old difference between a gold 15^50 and a gold 14^50 in terms of value

Yup it's pretty much about 20-35% from gold equivalents price if it's rarer skin.
Purple common skins aren't worth keeping such as purple gladius for example.

I haven't seen many NF crude axes on forums yet but yours is quite high req so I wouldn't spend much time selling it. I'd merch it or keep it to myself.

Is there any difference between a purple and a gold besides the color of the text, or am I correct in saying that the GW economy is the most fickle and ridiculous economy on earth?

Devilnaut..no thats not how you perceive it...its a complex and yet simple economy which you must indulge yourself in it to fully understand.

and as for ya mista Apple, i would say now blue inscribables are the ones you should aim for =)

So is there an actual reason that golds are more expensive than purples? Surely it isn't because of the color of the text, because frankly, that would be embarrassing.

I understand aesthetics and rarity being a major value driver (even if I think that most prices end up being pretty much set by this website, regardless of intention), but basing the majority of an item's value on something that no one can perceive and has absolutely zero effect on the game world is ridiculous. You could probably get a UI mod that changed the text color of items to rainbow if you wanted!
